Listen. Learn. Lead.

Empathy is a core value that guides both my personal life and my approach to leadership. I believe effective decision-making begins with listening carefully to all stakeholders, including residents, community organizations, and subject-matter experts. The perspectives of those with lived experience are especially important, as they provide invaluable insight into the real-world impact of policies and decisions. I also believe that strong leaders surround themselves with knowledgeable people and remain open to learning from others. As the saying goes: if I am the smartest person in the room, I am in the wrong room.
